The new management at Yasawa Island Resort - well, Erin, as we just missed James - is fantastic with a passion for the people of the island, and taking great care of the guests.The food was fantastic - excellent quantities and balance: we really enjoyed not being tempted by groaning buffet tables. The staff were lovely and very well trained by Manasa and Wati. And the spa with Aggie was a delight.
The accommodation was comfortable and generous. The bed especially was VERY comfortable. Everything was clean and towels were replaced when requested. Being able to snorkel over varied reef just off the main beach was fantastic.

Qamea resort and spa is really one of a kind which makes it difficult to compare to other resorts and hotels. In a nutshell, Qamea Resort and Spa is situated in a unique jungle-beach setting with a caring, genuine, kind and attentive staff. The couples-only setting is excellent for a honeymoon or romantic get-a-way and the dinning accomodations allow for meeting others during cocktail hours if you so please, or enjoying romantic time with your spouse/partner in a beautiful setting. 
We stayed in the Royal Beach Bure at the far end of the resort just by the jungle spa. These rooms are amazing, they are massive (large bedroom, large living room, huge bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower) and the pièce de résistance was the private pool, deck, jacuzzi, day bed, outdoor eating area, hammock, and daily drinks with cheese and tropical fruit platter delivered at sunset. Since we were looking for a romantic relaxing tropical paradise get-a-way; this room at Qamea really made our stay worth while. We highly recommend staying at the Royal Beach House if you choose to go to Qamea. 
The restaurant and food at Qamea was excellent - I was very impressed with the food (I realize that "good food" is subjective, however, we are the kind of people who eat out often at trendy restaurants in Montreal, New York, and Boston and we also like to cook and prepare a wide variety of quality dishes at home - not to suggest we are food experts by any means, but just to give you an idea of what kind of food we consider good - and Qamea's food was great, with good presentation and excellent service).
"I went to Beqa Lagoon Resort with a friend who's a diver and I'm a non-diver. Being a non-diver did not mean there was nothing to do. There was plenty to do and take in. Beqa Lagoon is breathtaking with many beautiful sights to see. There are constant activities throughout the week. There is the walk to the waterfall, to the village, to the beach, so much to explore. There's also just lounging by the pool or in the hammock, massages, just relaxing. We took a trip to the private island to snorkel, which was gorgeous. A definite must if you visit. The weather was beautiful while we we were there. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The villagers also extremely friendly. Love the kids. They are wonderful people. The food was amazingly delicious and was gourmet. The rooms are simple, but lovely, keeping with the atmosphere of the resort. They were cleaned everyday while we were out. Wonderful service.
