My husband and I decided we needed a romantic break away. Our choice of where to go was Fiji and we decided to try Taveuni Palms. This was the most amazing holiday we have had for a very long time. We knew that the resort was five star but it exceeded all of our hopes. The setting for our villa was absolutely beautiful with an amazing big deck where we could relax and unsurpassed views of the private beach right at our doorstep. 
Just behind Beqa Lagoon Resort, the land slopes gently upward into a tropical forest. Further into the forest one comes across a fresh water stream descending from a waterfall just about a mile from the resort. A short way up the hillside, you will find yourself at the base of an impressive waterfall. Guided hikes to the waterfall are available or you may venture at your own leisure. After cooling off a bit in the pool you can hike further up the path. And right at sunset you hit the top of the trail where you can look out over the entire lagoon. With a little more ambition and time you could hike to the top of the mountain where you can see the entire island from one place.

"We spent 6 nights at Malolo for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. From the minute we stepped foot on the island, the people were so friendly and accommodating. A few weeks before we were due to head there, we heard it was one of the most family orientated islands in Fiji. Being on our honeymoon, we were a little concerned about not having any privacy, however it was not a problem at all. Kids are very much accommodated for as well as couples and never had a problem with having our own privacy and being able to enjoy ourselves. Food is pretty good on the island, breakfast offers a wide range, lunch is pretty relaxed at the beach bar and dinner is also pretty good which differs each night. The resort organises daily activites and a schedule is delivered to your bure the night before notifying what is planned for the following day. Otherwise, it's great to just sit on the beach, snorkel or lay in the hammock and relax. A very relaxing and enjoyable resort, nothing bad about it!!"
