We stayed at the Royal Davui. We were blown away from the moment we arrived at Nadi Airport for our flight to Pacific Harbour (the views from the plane were amazing) to the boat ride (we saw turtles and dolphins) to the Island where we were greeted by Julie the General Manager and sung a welcoming song by the amazing staff.Our villa 6 was magnificent - we couldn't get enough of looking out at the views from our heated private plunge pool. With two balconies from the separate living room and bedroom areas, you have a great feeling of space, and also of privacy. The bathroom roof opens above the shower and jacuzzi to see the sun or stars.
We highly recommend going to the Sand Spit. We did this on our last day, but if we did this earlier we would have gone again. They take you on a 20-30 minute speedboat ride out to a sand bar which is only exposed at low tide. They leave you with an umbrella, picnic (breakfast in our case) and emergency phone leaving the two of you with your very own deserted island (maybe 30 by 15 meters depending on tide) in the middle of the ocean.My wife and I had the most incredible time here, and would recommend it without hesitation. You lose all concept of time (thankfully no tv or other distractions) and you can just enjoy each others company. It is nice and quiet - only around 15 couples on the island.

"Having been back to work for 4 weeks can only think of the wonderful time we had on our own private island. If you want quite relaxed times fantastic service & great food this is the place. Not for everyone kids are not a good thing. But if you want to switch off & recharge in a place that has NO PHONES NO T.V. & little noise except for the water & fish jumping then this is the place. A trip to the Great Sea Reef is just amazing.

"My wife and I had very high expectations when we arrived at Taveuni Palms. I am pleased to report that our expectations were surpassed by a wide margin. The service was spectacular. Everything we could ever need was just a phone call (really just one button!) away. Each staff member was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The villa (we stayed in the upper one) was breathtaking. The views, especially at sunset, are gorgeous. We spent several hours each day just relaxing in the pool and loved every minute of it. The food was perhaps the best part of the resort. My wife and I lived in New York City for years and found the food at Taveuni Palms to be on par with or better than the best restaurants we've ever encountered. The presentation of the food and the table settings are beautiful as well. We told them in advance that my wife adheres to a gluten-free diet and they had just as many options for her as for me. They even baked fresh gluten-free bread for her every day!! We took an excursion and did the Lavena Coastal Walk/Kayak. It was a really nice way to spend about 6 hours. Also, having Babu drive us around and make us laugh was a nice bonus. He's the best! All in all, this was probably the best vacation ever. I am not one to make such bold statements, but I really mean it. This is how all vacations should be. Thank you, Kelly and Tony, for running such an amazing resort! "A great and fantastic place to relax, be romantic and enjoy the paradise atmosphere. From Nadi, the flight to Matie takes about 1-1/2 hrs, then a 20 min van ride followed by a 15 min boat ride across the water to the resort. You’re greeted by Traci when you arrive, taken to your Bure and informed of the activities. If you’re looking for an adult only with privacy and many activities type of a resort, this is it. All of the staff; were very friendly, funny and helpful in making our stay a very relaxing, memorable and enjoyable time. We had the Lover’s Tango Massage, which was the best we had ever had (we get a couple’s massage every 6 month’s). We also got a facial, a first for me, which was great. The Jungle Spa is setup on the side of the mountain, each room is beautiful and the girls know how to massage and relax your body, I highly recommend it. There are many choices of activities to do; we did the Coastal Walk to the Lavena Waterfall and slide, the Bouma Waterfalls hike, snorkeling (off the beach or in Matangi Bay) and the Honeymoon Beach (ask to go to the Point). The lush tropical trees, plant life, birds and mountainside at Qamea and on Taveuni, is just amazing to visualize and experience. We stayed at the “Civa” Honeymoon Bure with the day bed and Jacuzzi at the end of the beach, which is a perfect location for sun and privacy. It is 20’ away from the sandy beach, so lying in the bed, sitting in the Jacuzzi or relaxing in the hammock and listening to the waves breaking, birds chirping or seeing the stars in the morning or night is very relaxing. I’ve traveled around the world and stayed at many different places and Qamea is the most romantic, quiet, secluded resort that I’ve been to.
