"My husband and I stayed at Tokoriki Island resort for our 8 days on our honeymoon and loved everything about our stay! It was romantic, tropical and just lots of fun. You can go out snorkeling, canoeing, visit other islands, or just relax by the pool with a cocktail. There are notvs, no radio, no internet, no phone reception - you just enjoy being in such a heavenly location. The staff - I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who were all so friendly, warm and welcoming. I don't know how but they all remember everyone's names! We stayed in a sunset pool villa and it was gorgeous. We had our own lap pool, day bed and outdoor shower. Everything was cleaned meticulously each day. When we were arrived there were two bottles of complimentary Moet, hand woven baskets and beauty products. The food - You eat like royalty. We had a meal plan which was great as you don't have to think twice about anything, the only thing you pay for is your drinks. We had amazing 3 course lunches and dinners everyday, overlooking the ocean. As the sun sets we would head to the bar for a cocktail and to enjoy the view before sitting for dinner. We were serenaded every single night. The day spa - We had a relaxing massage and it was heavenly. We took home some beautiful coconut oil as well to remind us of Fiji. Activities - there is so much to do, the staff take you on walks around the island, you can go canoeing, hermit crab races, snorkeling... You are never bored, even without tv and internet. "When you find yourself missing Namale while relaxing in Four Seasons Hualalai in Kona, Hawaii, justifiably one of the greatest full service resorts on the planet, you know that you have something to write home about. We’ve just come back from our 35th honeymoon trip to Fiji and Hawaii. We knew that Fijians were very nice people but people of Namale had taken our previous experience to the new level. Their genuineness is overwhelming. They really want to make you feel happy, not because they are trained that way or they are waiting for a fat tip. Normally poor weather like we had in Fiji would have ruined our stay. Not in Namale-great service, great food, great spa and numerous activities (including full service dive shop) saved the day. Last but not least they delivered pure magic on our anniversary night. They surprised us with a cake, live music and romantic decorations, all of the above on their own initiative and expense. Fantastic ocean front villa wrapped around our personal infinity pool and meticulously maintained grounds (all 500 acres of it) was a nice match for the quality of service. Namale is a splendid isolation, and we are planning to have another dry run there before going to heaven. Given a choice we would take Margaret and Ron with us to manage the place since they do such a superb job in Namale. "Upon arrival, Eddie from the Qamea Resort greeted us with an eager “Bula”–Fijian for hello–and told us “don’t worry at all, I promise I will take care of it” with regard to our bags. Eddie drove us through a winding, gravel jungle road on which we saw mango trees and a healthy dose of coconut palm trees. Shortly thereafter we arrived at a sandy beach where we took off our shoes and hopped onto a boat for a ten minute ride to the island of Qamea.
It was 10:30 a.m. local time, following a total of approximately sixteen hours in transit, yet the fresh air, calming shades of turquoise waters and lush green island mountains easily made sleep an afterthought. Lucia greeted us by name (how she did this without even having seen a picture, I don’t know!) and sat us down to explain what to look for around the resort and hand us the key to our Bure as we sipped a sky blue tropical drink. There are sixteen total Bures at the resort that range from spacious beachfront Fijian cottages equipped with four post beds, an outdoor rock shower and a porch graced with a hammock to premium villas that include private outdoor hot tubs, a secluded location engulfed by ocean and jungle and daybeds for the porch. We stayed at one of the beachfront Bures, named Koki after a Fijian parrot. For our arrival, our porch was decorated with red and white hibiscus flowers and a chilled bottle of champagne. A great start to our honeymoon!
Qamea serves some of the freshest and finest foods. Everything was simply fantastic. We ate finely made delicacies including beef wellington, seared wahoo, several varieties of seafood bisques and chowders, crab raviolis and much more. The food is simply top notch and on par with the highest quality restaurants in New York City. Each evening at 6:30 the resort used half of the main “Dining Bure” in order to encourage guests to join for happy hour drinks and conversation. Seats were arranged in a large circle around small cocktail tables, upon which were served a variety of tasty appetizers. Many of the couples visiting the resort took this opportunity to hang out and get to know one another. Most of the visitors were honeymooners, however several were celebrating special occasions including birthdays and anniversaries. In this time we met many great people and made some real nice friends from around the world. Additionally we had the opportunity to get to know some of the resort’s management and staff.
Each night the Qamea Band performs a selection of local music. The four members of the group play two acoustic guitars, a ukulele, an acoustic bass and sing harmoniously while sitting around a traditional Kava bowl filled with the ritual beverage. They invite all to join their circle and partake in the ceremonial consumption of Kava. Clap once to accept your cup, chug (aggressive drinkers ask for “high tide” and the wary request “low tide”), and then clap three times in appreciation when finished.
We went to Qamea wanting to have the time of our lives and certainly did. Anyone who embarks on a trip with high expectations in many respects sets the bar too high and in doing so becomes vulnerable to letdown. Sure enough, our lofty expectations were easily exceeded in every way. The staff at Qamea are some of the warmest and friendliest people we have ever met and we forged such strong bonds with them that by the end of our stay saying goodbye was a difficult task. Each of the staff greeted us warmly every day, gave thoughtful advice and encouraged partaking in fun activities while displaying their humorous wit and cheerful smile. To smooth our departure, many of the staff lined up on the beach clad with hibiscus flowers and accompanied by guitar, in order to sing the hymnal Qamea goodbye song waving us off as our boat drifted towards the airport in Taveuni."

Thank you very much for everything. Nukubati is so wonderful than we expected. We enjoyed fishing, diving, snorkeling, octopus hunting, medicine tour, masage... Especially Tatsu was satisfied with exciting fishing! That GT was the biggest one he has ever caught. And I also enjoyed the beautiful ocean. At the diving & snorkeling, I could see so so many fish & coral. That was a fantastic experience. But most wonderful thing was kind and friendly staff. Thank you for everybody.
